Make the quotes comparable

Give each professional the same measurements, desired finish and access details. Separate preparation and removal from the new concrete, and ask for exclusions to be listed. Do not assume the public crossing is included in a quote for the private driveway.

Get a workable shed footprint

A garden shed, workshop and car storage space can need different slab specifications. The shed slab should follow the selected supplier’s drawings, door position and intended loads. If the location is behind the house, a photo of the entire access route is often more useful than a close-up of the patch of lawn.
